Museums have a returns desk and so do we. This policy describes when and how Docwell issues refunds. It applies to every plan — Specimen, Exhibit, Gallery and Museum — and sits alongside the Terms of Service.

The 30-day guarantee

Every Docwell subscription carries a 30-day, no-questions-asked money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied for any reason — or for no stated reason at all — write to us within 30 days of a charge and we will refund that charge in full. You do not need to justify, explain, or sit through a retention call. A single sentence is enough.

How refunds are returned

Refunds are always sent back to the original payment method — the same card or account that paid. We cannot reroute refunds to a different destination, which protects you against fraud. Once issued, funds typically arrive within 5–7 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer. We confirm by email the moment a refund is issued so you know when to expect it.

What is covered

• First month of any new subscription — refunded in full within the 30-day window.
• Renewal charges — refundable within 30 days of the renewal charge, on the same no-questions basis.
• Plan upgrades — the prorated upgrade charge follows the same 30-day rule.
• Accidental duplicate purchases — refunded at any time upon verification.

How to request

Email us from the address on your account, or use the contact form on this site, mentioning the date and amount of the charge. Most refunds are issued within one working day of the request. If a charge is genuinely fraudulent, tell us immediately and we will prioritize the case.

What happens after a refund

A refunded subscription converts to read-only at the end of the period you last paid for, unless you ask us to close it sooner. Your content is never deleted as part of a refund: the base stays exportable for a further 30 days, so a change of heart never costs you your collection. If you resubscribe later, everything is exactly where you left it.

Fair use

The guarantee exists so nobody hesitates to try Docwell. We reserve it for honest use: repeated subscribe-refund cycles by the same account may lead us to decline further refunds, and nothing in this policy limits any statutory consumer rights you hold in your jurisdiction. Where local consumer law grants you additional rights — for example statutory withdrawal periods in the European Union — those rights apply alongside this policy, not instead of it.
